File Preparation

Preferred formats (print-ready):

  • PDF (Press-Quality): Best option - fonts embedded, images at 300 DPI
  • Adobe Illustrator (.ai): Include linked images, outline fonts
  • Adobe InDesign (.indd): Package with all links and fonts
  • Adobe Photoshop (.psd): Flatten layers, 300 DPI, CMYK

We can also work with:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint (additional prep may apply)
  • JPEG, TIFF, EPS (high resolution only)

Important: Include 0.125" bleed on all sides for full-bleed designs.

Upload Your Files →

Bleed is extra image area that extends beyond the final trim edge of your printed piece. It ensures no white edges appear after cutting.

Standard bleed: 0.125" (1/8 inch) on all sides

When you need bleed:

  • Background colors extending to edge
  • Photos extending to edge
  • Any design element touching the trim line

Safe zone: Keep important text and logos at least 0.125" inside the trim line to avoid being cut off.

Don't have bleed? Our design team can help set up your files correctly.

For print: All files should be in CMYK color mode.

Why CMYK? Printing uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black inks. RGB (used for screens) contains colors that cannot be reproduced in print.

Common issues with RGB files:

  • Bright blues become dull
  • Neon colors look muted
  • Colors shift unexpectedly

If your files are in RGB: We'll convert them to CMYK before printing, but you may notice color differences. For best results, design in CMYK from the start.
